We are seeking to diversify our membership and artwork and are currently accepting applications for membership. Artists whose work is "non traditional" are encouraged to apply. About the Co-Op Gallery It is the mission of the Norwich Arts Council Gallery to provide, encourage and support involvement in the arts, toward the goal of enriching the cultural life of area residents. The Norwich Arts Council (NAC) Cooperative is a non-profit gallery comprised of a group of artists from the area who promote the visual arts in eastern Connecticut through individual and group exhibitions and other activities. The Cooperative maintains a professional gallery space of approximately 600 square feet at 60 Broadway in downtown Norwich. Each month a different artist or group exhibits their work and hosts a reception on the first Friday of the month from 7 to 9 pm. All gallery receptions are free and open to the public. Monthly rent ranges from $50 to $150 depending on the actual space taken--there are a lot of natural breaks in the wall that we will use to break up the space.
