The Norwich Arts Center was formed in 1987 (originally as the Norwich Arts Council) to inspire and provide community to affordable music, arts and education in the grater Norwich region in partnership with other interested in stregthening the fabric of the greater Norwich region.

Goals

• To provide cultural enrichment to its service region through a diverse selection of artistic programming.
• To increase the number and diversity of cultural activities in our communities and to broadly publicize them.
• To foster an appreciation for the work of local and regional artists and provide opportunities for them to present their work.
• To involve the youth of the community in the arts and stimulate and encourage development of their creativity.
• To cultivate development of the Chelsea Arts District.
• To be a regional resource for the arts.
