Susan Parish has a BFA and MS from Syracuse University. She has recently completed a 32 year career as a high school art teacher. She is an Elected Artist Member of the Mystic Art Center and a member of the Connecticut Academy of Fine Arts.

Artist Statement

I use traditional photo media, film, combined with digital technology, Photoshop®, scanners, and ink jet printers to produce my work.

I am drawn to subjects that show the relationship of humans to their environment through the evidence of inanimate objects. I usually find my photos in my everyday routines. I do travel to Mexico every year to visit friends and have found a rich source of subjects there.
