Norwich Arts Council Band

NAC Symphonic Band

The Norwich Arts Council Band is an intergenerational band that performs free concerts for the community and surrounding areas. Under the direction of conductor Robert Clowes, The NAC Band performed for the Welcoming Ceremony of the Vietnam Traveling Wall the summer of 2009 at the Howard T Brown Park.

The Norwich (CT) Semiseptacentennial March was created especially for the city of Norwich's 350th Celebration. This march was composed by band member Pat Siravo, produced by Thom and Dee Keaney and presented to the City of Norwich as a thank you for past years of support to NAC.

The band kicked off 2010 with a Seasonal Concert on Jan 10th in the Donald L. Oat Theater, and have recently performed at Dodd Stadium at the Independence Day Celebration in July. They have been invited back to play at the Mystic River Music Festival the summer of 2010.

Rehearsals for the 2010/2011 season begin on Thursday, September 16, from 7 - 8:45 PM in the Donald L. Oat Theater.  All musicians are welcome and urged to join the ensemble. Currently, the youngest member of the band is 11 years old and the oldest is 84, so all are welcomed!
